I use these needles exclusively for knitting socks. I have arthritis in my fingers. These needles give me more knitting time per day. I am very clumsy with the DPNs. I love to knit socks using magic loop. The pain in my thumbs becomes difficult and holding the knitting needles are hard to hold too. Thank you for your wonderful demonstration.

Helpful video. Now to try it after knitting socks for 35yrs on dpns! Having tried, I’d recommend doing the rib on dpns then changing to crazys to get used to them on stocking stitch.

You can also start by casting on all stitches on one needle, then put half on a second needle.

I've found the different sharpness of the needles comes in handy depending on weight of yarn used. I use the more blunt end for heavier yarn

I’ve never tried dpn’s, but magic loop and crasy trio, x socks I rather prefer this trio, they are incredible fast . I have already order two more in different sizes . Thks x your video

I tried short circulars for my first few pairs of socks. Couldn’t get away with dpns and now use magic loop which I find so much easier. Not sure whether crazy trio is for me as I have no problems with my current choice. Thanks for the video though.

I like to use dpn and then the long ones so i can put one under my arm. It is old fashioned maybe but i prefer it .i can do magic loop and the flexi ones but twice as fast on long dpn's

9in circular or double points. Never tried magic loop.

I learnt to knit earlier this year and have always so far used a 9” circular - I love it but I get hyper focused and hours later have cramp in my hands. I have to use dpns for the heel ans toe anyway so have learnt to wrangle them even if somewhat clumsily and thought these might be a perfect hybrid…. But am struggling. After watching this I may cast on to a 9” circ and move to these when the cuff is established 🤔.

You are not supposed to use the sharper end, but the end you prefer. I prefer a blunter needle.
