If I’m the lakers I’m trying to shop 2 out of the 3 ; dlo, AR, and rui into an actual 3rd option player that can score. Also im banking on another year with taurean, cam reddish, max christie, healthy vando and cwood. Maybe draft a big center for rebounds and the defense is amazing on paper. After last season unfortunately a back court of DLO and AR will never win, something needs to be done about that.

I am about to put my neck on the line and declare that the Lakers are going to the playoffs in spite of the immense improvements by other Western Conference opponents over the off-season.

The starting 5 are expected to be a lot better in the upcoming season, in my opinion. The real question will surround the other supporting cast . For me, the Lakers are at least 8-9 deep. This, however, does not necessarily translate them into a conference champion or league champion.

For those lofty heights, they need to have at least a point of attack athletic guard and a very good center. It, therefore, means that, currently constructed, they don't have a championship team. Playoffs, yes, Championship, I'm afraid no.
