CHLORIDE CONTENT DETERMINATION USING MERCURY NITRATE

preview_player
Показать описание
An experimental procedure setup to determine the chloride ion content in water samples. The method is based on the solubility difference between mercury chloride and mercury diphenylcarbazone complex. After all the mercury chloride is precipitated in a sample, further addition of mercury nitrate forms a blue complex with the diphenycarbazone which is present in the solution marking the end point of the titration.
