A hike to possibly my favourite summit in the Brecon Beacons - Bal Mawr. Extended ridge walk to include Bal Bach, Bwlch Bach and Chwarel Y Fan.

The Bal Mawr summit has personal sentimental value and the cairn offers the most beautiful and quiet view.. the placard quoting Goethe ‘ On all the peaks lies peace’

Thanks for this. Was gonna walk it today for first time in about 18yrs before my son went into hospital, so nice to be able to see it virtually! Love the whole valley there and have fond memories of a couple of walks via the priory.
