I had to write "ng --version" (for angular cli version 8.3.23) to get the output like you at 03:49

1. "ng help" = give list all available commands under ng. (Here you will find "version" name in the list)
2. "ng version" = give version number.

Hi. I'm an absolute beginner so I followed the instruction to get the version "ng -v", it failed and listed instead the available commands. I then had to type "ng version" to get a similar result to you. This was under angular cli 7.0.4. Keep up the good work.
