She saw something that day that she shouldn’t have seen.

I personally worked on those water tanks in 2003. There is no way she could have got up there by herself. Somebody in staff was behind this and the staff hid it

That door was left unlocked many times. The staff also said they just switched off the alarm for the rooftop door due to the amount of people going onto the rooftop to party.

The way she was trying to hide in the lift says she was afraid of something. This was the Cecil Hotel where the night stalker 'Ramiraz' was known to reside on the top floor. It was also known for many unexplained and unusual deaths.
Only God knows what happened within the walls of the Cecil, not only with her but many other's.

This case got turned into some kind of paranormal mystery and it’s kind of disrespectful seeing as that narrative is still pushed even though the facts are there to be found and learned. The elevator footage was edited, she had been pretty much 86’d from that place because of her behavior, which was all over the place because she was a diagnosed schizophrenic and went off her meds. The door to the roof also was unlocked all the time and accessible because the alarm went off all the time from people going up there to party n drink n smoke, the hotel only said otherwise to not get in trouble since it’d be pretty negligent and irresponsible to allow people to do that shit on their roof. She also had a stalker who was apparently very wealthy, and took advantage of her mental illness to have access to her that she would allow. He most likely took her up there, possibly SA’d her, killed her, and put her in that water tank, which also was accessible, yet denied by hotel staff because again, didn’t wanna get in trouble for being shitty business owners.

The lid was not actually closed. The hotel maintenance guy that found her even said the lid was open. He closed the lid after he left which is why everyone thought the lid was closed.

It's DEFINITELY a staff member. Parts of the elevator video were also missing. It could only be someone with extra access in that building! 💯 RIP Lisa, may she finally get peace 🕊️

I literally saw a small doc were they went to the top roof and it was open not even mention the water tank, was also reported that she cut all communications with her parents suffering from depression...

Many serial killers have stayed at that hotel...

It was later reported that she suffered with bipolar disorder. As someone who has bipolar, it seems very normal to buy books for family (or any sentimental/happy moment) and later on do something like this. I know it’s normal to NOT experience mood shifts like this but it still shocks me when people make it seem like it’s so bizarre when that’s just our reality. We could wake up excited to be alive and end up in the hospital DETERMINED to leave this earth by night.

Bipolar can also cause hallucinations which also might be a possibility. But even then, the baseline depressive episodes and paranoia really can be bad enough that people do things like this

Damn pretty much everything she just said is wrong, pretty annoying to see how many people are just being exposed to bad research.

Most vitally the first responders on the scene said when they arrived all the lids were closed.
also it would be literally impossible to put the lid back on once inside the tank. Did they fingerprint the lids? were here fingerprints anywhere on the ladders or lids? Police have kept hidden all this information. I highly recommend the book “Gone At Midnight” by Jake Anderson which is still the best piece of any type of journalism i have seen thus far on this bizarre case. Elisa Lam was murdered. And Pedro Tovar, the head maintenance man at the time, must know who did it.

I remember reading when the case was solved that she was experiencing an awful bipolar episode. Poor girl just needed some help.

She was murdered by a staff member. Then they coerced her away, unlocked the roof door, and forced her up the ladder and into the tank. Her “episode” in the elevator was her in distress because she was being attacked…

This is sometimes the problem when people began thinking a tragedy is an entertainment. They all wanna be detectives even without proper knowledge, and even interfere with the investigation. Many people got blamed for her death when they didn't even do anything, and they got backlash and sent death threats. Just stop.

I hope that one day we get closure. That one day Elisa and her family gets closure. I hope that she rests in peace.

I mean, just from the photos I can see a pretty easy way to get on top of those tanks without a ladder. That doesn't mean her death isn't suspicious, I'm just saying she could have climbed up there on her own and got in the tank to hide from someone.

If there was no foul play this is what might have went down.

As someone who is bipolar as was she it seems like she was having manic symptoms she has alcohol in her system which might have had a negative effect on her medication causing delusions, hallucinations, and risky behavior also the history of the hotel could have fed into that if she knew, in the video if she was able to get to the roof from her window that’s honestly probably what happened. As for how she was found. Some Asian people have an allergic reaction to alcohol causing you to heat up and get flushed along with other symptoms. So she might have gotten really hot and in her manic state saw the water tanks and thought it would be a good idea to go in there to cool off. Somehow found her way in and didn’t think of a way to get out. She probably took off her clothes in the tank to take a skinny dip or when she was trying to escape/ survive they were weighing her down. Leading to her eventual death and discovery. This is just a theory.
