I just turned 43. Wish me luck with my last year of youth.

72 I find that my over thinking has been my harshest for aging. So I am learning to set outside with my cats and just enjoy the day . And not giving up my coffee.😊

At age 62 I beat a 8hr alpine bicycle ride I did 27 years ago by one hour. And no, i was no couch potatoe then. I trained around 200hrs/year in both cases. Staying consistent is key.

My hair was completely gray, and I was getting an extra forehead at 65. I retired at 67. now, at 70, my hair is brown again. I killed my colon cancer with selenium, broccoli sprouts, and tomatoes. I walk five miles a week and work out. I painted my two-story house. I am getting younger every day now.

Am I the only person who thinks "108 participants" is not a significant enough sample size to make broad statements about all humans?

I’m 45. I look better now than I ever did. People always ask how old I am and how. It’s an easy answer but hard to do. Change your lifestyle for the better gradually for every year you get older. If you lose bad habits and adopt new ones you will see results.

I’m 67, when I see people my age they look much older than me. I quit most alcohol and tobacco before thirty when it was affecting my health. I was my Dad’s caregiver from 49 to 52 so when my hair started falling out and I developed hypertension in my 50’s I figured it was from stress.

I’m 78. Starting at 70 years old my skin has aged more rapidly than ever. I think 70 is the real age that your body starts falling apart at a noticeable quick, almost visible rate.

My 70's was a total WTF.

44 was no big deal, I was still very athletic, vigorous, virile. 60's... yeah... I was still at it, athletic, still screwing... then I became a home owner for the first time. That got me away from my athletic persuits, and my music.

70's, sex isn't that important, but I think about it often enough. Women my age don't provide the visual thrill that makes me want to do the deed. We men are visual... and women know it.... young gals look delicious, but see me as a creepy old guy... so I glimpse, move on.

Alcohol, once a great source of entertainment, hurts me now. It tastes wonderful... but the next day is spent doing nothing. I cannot afford the time, since I've fewer days in front of me than behind.

My health and fitness are my greatest passions... I need this body and brain to function at top efficiency... I've too much work to do.

Up until my early 60's, people thought I was in my 40's, then KABAM ! At almost 65, there has been a visible change.. you must stay committed into taking care of yourself with exercise, fun and have projects, and especially, give unto others !

My decline started at age 42 with my eyes and teeth.

Now at 56 my heart is going down the crapper.

I've already outlived my grandparents and great grandparents.

So long cruel world...

Nothing will age you faster than mineral deficiency. You can age years in a month. Eat your vegetables and or meat.

When we die, we die of some organ failure. Not all organs fail at the same time. I'd say it's obvious that our parts age differently. Of course, there are parts that are damaged more due to our lifestyle but people who have a clean life also die of one or two organ failure at the same time.

I remember reading about a long term study of 2 groups of chimpanzees (think it was 30/30) where group A had access to food basically all day, and group B had a more controlled diet of smaller portions with an eating schedule, while also having a day of fasting (weekly or biweekly.)

The chimps in group B lived 30% longer than those in Group A. That's pretty significant.
Think I read about it in Scientific American in early 2000s.

The lack of ability to drink coffee hit me when I was 19 and the alcohol one hit me when I was 29. Honestly kinda glad I stopped drinking the stuff. Tea tastes so much better anyway.
