Genesis 18-20 tells a powerful story of a Father’s deep love, mercy, and justice for His children. In this passage, God visits Abraham and Sarah, reaffirming His promise of a child and displaying His intimate care for their future. We also see God’s justice in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, yet even here, His love is evident as He spares Lot and his family from the devastation. Like a loving father, God shows both mercy and righteousness, protecting His children while calling them to live in faithfulness.

As you meditate on Genesis 18-20 today, imagine a father who is lovingly guiding and protecting his children, calling them to trust in His plans while offering both grace and correction. This is the heart of God for you—He is a just and merciful Father who desires to lead you into His promises and shield you from harm.

Take time each day to meditate on this Word, letting its message of God’s mercy and justice sink deeply into your heart. Use our "Verse of the Day" posts to help you memorize Bible verses and "hide the Word in your heart" (Psalm 119:11), so you can carry God’s truth with you always.

The Bible is very interesting, at the same time fearful, as Sodom and Gomorrah, only The Holy Spirit can guide you....we have to know in-between the lines... reading the Scriptures once is not sufficient, every time you read, you get into the depths of it. At times you feel the Bible is talking to you, God is telling you, talking to you, inspiring you....
