I am clearly an OpenAI fanboy, but they need to release some of the promises into the wild.

OpenAi most likely release GPT-5 or whatever they call it in Nov. after the US election. That was their original plan. However, Meta and Mitral releasing their flag ship AI models that bit GPT-4o, may force their hand to release earlier. But the main issue is Open Source AI is "FREE" and OpenAI will need to GPT-5, Sora, VoiceAI, GPT Search very soon or they could be in trouble. Yep, GPT Search has been announced but like all their products, you are placed in WAITING MODE. :<

we have 8b models running local on an average PC's i could see large models running local in the nr future, so how do they make money then ? unless AGI I guess then all bets off
