IIT graduates saying that these coaching centres are bad and later after graduating from IIt they themself join these coaching centres as faculty and pressurize more students.

Our Indian education system is flawed. Students decide to become engineers or doctors because society tells them to. They choose that at the age of 16 ? A 16 year old doesn’t know what they want to do in life, and they are given this life changing decision.

As a Student at IITK, who was a coaching student for a lot of time, its better to shut this industry down
The stress is too much

it is unbelievable how a single person can research and present an social issues. we expect this kind of research and presentation from main stream media.

Aunty at 6:35 was absolutely right
Rather then putting these restrictions on coaching centre's government should take actions against private schools
Private coaching centre's still give quality education what about private schools neither they pay their teachers well nor students get the best .
And the fee they charge
Government should think themselves why is there a need to get coaching, the answer is simple our schools are lacking in quality

Coming from someone who failed neet exam because at the end i realised I don't want this lifestyle (yes I didn't study) I was badly treated at my home specially by relatives and comparison almost killed me, luckily i took a degree that gave me enough time to think about what i want, tried to get certifications in careers that appealed to me and I finally decided accounting was the one. I didn't give up on my life because I wasn't a part of the overhyped profession that doesn't have a life. Main issue is that you're telling 15-16 year old to decide on a career without having any idea about I think this should be fixed first.

Edit: people saying I'm making an excuse for failure, you're the reason why students are afraid to change their minds, because this no plan b shit trend is deeply glorified by coaching industries, MY DREAM IS TO BECOME A CFO ! Why WOULD I PURSUE MEDICAL THEN??? I CAN GET MORE MONEY IN EARLY AGE SOOO??? just get a life

I believe the guidelines are in favour of students and children!

It’s extremely crucial to take healthy and mental sanity of students in perspective
And not their parent’s increasing hunger for vanity to maintain a high socioeconomic class.

Burden is not at all visible to these parents who believe not getting into good college is end of career, the options are coming out of their micro perspective of life, only important segment is THE JEE/NEET phase.

I am a student studying in one of the biggest coaching for IIT-JEE preparation in Kota. Every point Vedant made is valid, I have been here since the start of my 11th grade and in 4 months I will be giving my JEE Advance exam. Luckily for me, my parents are very supportive in this regard. They often tell me not to worry so much about the result whenever they see me getting stressed but unfortunately not everyone has such luck. In fact, I have many friends who can’t even express their stress and anxiety to their parents which is not very shocking as most parents often take loans to provide the required facilities for their children. And regarding the toppers, yes they actually get a different hostel with all the facilities. Even 24/7 doubt solving faculties, private library, resources and obviously heck ton of money if they get a good rank. Kota can be a hell of a place for some people. In the beginning of my JEE preparation, our teacher told us that maybe only one or two people from our entire batch will end up in IITs, rest all will go home with empty hands.

I dropped two years for JEE. Yes JEE ( still didn't clear with good rank). I got into a tier 3 engineering college, knew my passion was programming not cramming and now I'm working at Microsoft. Guys please realise life doesn't end if you don't get a good college. If you are passionate about something fight with your parents for it. Your Parents are just humans, they get scared, they make mistakes. Bachha paida krke bhagwan nahi bn jate wo log. Fight for your dreams aise darke nahi chalega. My parents, my relatives everyone used to look at me like I'm worthless. Now they feel proud of my decisions. And my dream doesn't end here. I've got bigger dreams and I'm willing to take bigger risks. Take risks yr. Do what you are passionate. Ek hi life hai khud ke liye jiyo. Khud khush rahoge tabhi dusro ko khush rkhoge.

At Aakash institute we have "counsellors" who they show while taking admission turns out they are part of the accounts team. If any student complains or goes to them for any problem they try to scare the student by saying they will call our parents and say we aren't studying.
They tried this with me once but my parents are very supportive of me so i didnt back down. These institutes should really end there are a lot of good sources online nowdays.

I feel lucky to have carefree and understanding parents. My both parents are govt teachers. I was always a below average student. They were just worried about my weakness in maths. I remember night before 12th result my baba said "beta fail hone se sharam mat kariyo, dusri bar try karenge". But instead I got 62% which is called first division in Bengali medium and A+ in English subject. It's an average score to me. But they celebrated like crazy in the colony and they said I can do whatever I can so did I. I picked my desired profession in aviation industry and they are so proud of me. So lucky to have parents who are working for govt itself but they never pressured me for these kinds of exams. But sometimes I feel like maybe they are too carefree. I'm 25 now and they are not even looking for a man for arrange marriage. They are just saying I should do love marriage like they did. I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing 🥲

Indian education system was just about cramming and the edtech made it worse by doing it on a large scale☠️☠️
Edit- people haven't thought deeply on my comment...I meant to say that due to edtech in the education industry now only major thing in the trend is competitive exams and not preparing for any competitive exams now feels like fomo due to excessive advertisement by big edtech coaching

After clearing JEE main and advance both, I can understand the stress this students go through. It's hard and sometimes it scars you for life. Not to demotivate anyone but being an IIT student myself I can definitely say that this statement " just get into IIT and it's going to be chill" is a myth. It doesn't get chill anytime, ya... it will be easier than Jee days but not what parents or teachers make it to be. I can give you only one suggestion whatever you do, give your best . Do things for learning even if Jee stuffs are not practicle in daily life. It's just a stage of life and it will pass.

These parents don't know about pressure. These parents are in full glory. If the parents have so much money for coaching and the selection is also around 1 percent, then it is more favorable for the child to go to a private college with higher fees and the colleges easily give the best packages.

Risking your children's health and life and living in the future instead of staying in present and knowing your kid's ability, health and flaws cannot be justified as good parenting. Teenagers suffering from depression and killing themselves because of such pressure makes me not respect these kind of parents at all. Competition is what we adults create for our own benefit and then push our kids into it saying "outside world is a mess". No, we created this mess collectively, making lives difficult for everyone. Humans are not made like this. Not everyone can be molded in one particular way. We are all different skillwise, experience wise or even financial and opportunity wise.

Truly a very well made, well rounded video that shows the grim reality thoroughly.

bro i am 18 yr old and due to exam pressure i started having epileptic fits ...from the very begining i didnt like the culture of coaching institues it was so toxic, awful, brain damaging(for me atleast) like i am not saying coachings are bad its great for the people with strong heart , but for those who are emotionally weak like me its not less then hell...i still remember getting panic attacks in between classes and i had to run to the washroom and just cry there sitting on the floor like many times....and its just not about teachers but fellow students too ..i remember teacher bullying students for not able to answer the questions they used to ask like itna khauf tha khade khade aasu nikal jaate the...i cant describe much but all i can say is every single day felt like a burden to me which i wanted to end by taking my life because i have no percent of courage to tell my parents that how fucked up i am and cant stand by their expectations even though they spent lacs of money in my coachings

I'm super thankful to my parents and teachers for providing me a sane coaching experience. Who knows what steps I would have taken if I were in one of the centres shown in this video.

Condolences to those who have lost their sons/daughters. May they rest in eternal peace.

as a student of kota, i 100% percent agreed ki jee, neet nikalne ka bht pressure hota hai but at the same time we learn so many new things and reality check jaldi mill jata hai, bht tareke ke logg dehkne ko millte hai unse deal krna aata hai and surely students ko proper mentorship millni chaiye taaki vo aur stornger and bold ho jae and baad mein jab reality dehke tho usko face krne ki himmat
