When replacing Honda parts. Use Honda parts.

In a pinch, Advance Auto or Auto Zone will be always be my go to. I have also seen genuine parts fail just the same way. So it really do not matter either way. Like big pharm making needed drugs so expensive, same crap happens with dealerships profiting on people's need of having a vehicle operational to complete our daily task.

Being a technician from a dealership, I can say from experience, even dealership parts are garbage quality now, sadly companies just don't care anymore

Aisin makes the tensioners for Honda. Pay once, cry once.

Did Honda correct the issue with the oem tensioner? Many have failed that were original or replaced with oem

Sadly is Honda 3.5 engines need it replaced before 100k miles . My second odyssey and I had to do it again . Honda not what it used to be

For Honda, never buy non OEM parts. I bought an aftermarket starter and that messed up the crankshaft position sensor that took some cycles to diagnose.

Even with Honda parts, these tensioners seem to fail prematurely.
