In Italy we actually eat pizza with fish on it, we call it "pizza ai frutti di mare"=seafruit pizza. In summer is one of the most common eaten pizza. It's sad the fact that everyone knows Italian food only in a stereotypical American way.

Here in sardinia, a region of italy, we have a big seafood tradition, so we often put clams and other seafood on pizza!

I’m from Connecticut and in New Haven we have this pizza spot called Pepe’s Pizza, and the White Clam pizza was their original pizza from over 100 years ago! The owner was allergic to tomatoes so that’s why it came about. It’s very good! One of my fav types of pizza for sure.

It's nice to see people experiment with traditional recipes, I feel like ever since uncle Rodger got big everyone is afraid to make things the "incorrect" way like It's food just make what you like.
