If the calipers are "Absolute", why do we need to set the origin after reinserting the battery?

Just please, please improve the cases! Sometimes even cheap chinese calipers have good foam padded cases that can be opened and closed one handed and millions of times. Yours will just break after a few years.

Ohh...that's a battery cap? Why didn't you just embed that info on the cap with an arrow showing the direction to slide? Instead, I'm pulling out screws and taking the unit apart before I finally waste more of my finite life units to go to the internet and find a video to show how to do something that should be intuitively obvious just by looking at the product. Ergonomic fail.

Too bad this does NOT work for many of the digital calipers, like the 537.
