Hello I'm Rebecca! I'm 50, a mom, wife and makeup addict. I love deals and good investments. I’m ridiculous and silly most of the time! It’s makeup people. Let’s not take it too seriously! Hope you enjoy my humor and my ‘keeping it real’ attitude. I like bread and anything with carbs.

My 55 yo, tan, combo/oily skin loves Loreal Blendable. It's a perfect satin, alcohol free foundation. It has a thin, almost like a serum formula but pigmented enough to blur my sunspots/hyperpigmentation

I’d rather spend money on good eyeshadow, rather than foundation. For me, the pigmentation and blendability is worth it for shadows. Plus, there are so many good and affordable base products at the drug store price point.

I’m definitely in the high end foundation camp. Not that I must buy a high end foundation, but I will if that’s what works. I tried something like 20 foundations for my wedding (I lost count at 17), ranging from maybe $10 to $65 or so. I would have tried even more expensive ones if they weren’t basically like putting perfume on my face. What I learned from experimenting with so many foundations is that I really hate foundation 😆 If the only one I like is $65+, I’d much rather pay that price than pay any amount for a foundation that I think looks awful. And that is kind of the range for me: it either looks really good or it looks awful, with nothing in between. For my wedding, I wanted something with more coverage, and I fell in love with Sephora’s Best Skin Ever foundation, which is around $20 I think? It’s beautiful and much easier to work with than other foundations I tried. But even though I love it, I still can’t really be bothered to use it unless it’s a special occasion where photography is likely. If I could have one skincare wish, it would be to have a really nice, clear complexion that would make foundation completely unnecessary, but alas, I have hyperpigmentation and redness that I feel the need to even out at least. The solution on a day to day basis, for me, is BareMinerals pressed powder foundation. Powder is just so much easier for me. But at 41 with combo skin, powder doesn’t always look the best. The BareMinerals pressed powder goes on very easily (no need to buff and blend it like their loose powders), looks really lovely, and I can’t believe how long it lasts, even in the NC summer! So I’m happy to pay for the BareMinerals, especially since a pressed powder lasts me…idk, a decade? I’ve actually never used one up. I only wish they would stop reformulating it. I think they’ve reformulated it twice since it first hit my radar 2-3 years ago. So anyone reading this in the future—who knows if I’m even talking about the version you have or are considering 🤷🏻‍♀️

Your hair is looking gorgeous! Hope your girl is still healing well 🙏💕
I am madly in love with both the Haus Labs foundation and the concealer! The foundation has been my #1 for several months now and the concealer is tied for first place with the new Makeup Forever but I have yet to try the Tower 28 and Natasha Denona concealers that people are raving about……

I have been using Revlon illuminance . I get a little bit oily on my nose so I notice it makes that a little more pronounced . My go to for a long time has been Revlon Color Stay so I switch back and forth. I don’t know why but its always difficult to find my right color in foundations like I am shade challenged

The only luminous foundation I have liked so far is the L’Oreal Pro Glow, which we can’t get in Australia anymore. I have oily skin with large pores and I stopped trying glowy foundations because they make my pores look horrible.

I'm not sure if you have reviewed this one ..Glam Girl Gabi says that the L'Oreal Age perfect balm foundation is good for mature skin ?? I haven't tried it, but I remember you like the concealer. Have a great day.😊

Why must foundation use denatured alcohol? ! Want to try the no.7, but just can’t do denatured alcohol. Do like the revlon illuminance very much. You and I are skin color twins! I want to try the Sculpted by Aimee Dewy foundation.
