Facts. Saute chef here for 15 years. During the hotter months in the northeast, corn starch is an essential pre shift protocol. It make an enormous difference.

That's literally what baby powder is, it's just cornstarch with a little perfume added, check the ingredients next time you go to the store
That being said keep the ball starch away from the food starch

Can confirm. Worked in a kitchen and before we got a workable AC it used to get up to 110 degrees in there with 15 ppl 4 fryers double stacked oven pretzel oven all the hot wells the grill flat top and stove tops. We all had a box of corn starch in our lockers 😂
