I’m getting to finally drive a performance model 3 next week for my first time to ever drive a Tesla yay

Quick fyi: there are VERY BRIEF moments during the update when the car will fully restart, preventing automatic doors from working. However, this only lasts for 5-10 seconds (from personal experience of many updates), and the manual door override will ALWAYS work.

99% of the updating is actually just copying new files and setting up stuff without affecting the working system. 1% is actually rebooting the system during which you might see strange things.

Here’s what happens:
First, driving will be turned off. Climate will still be on!
Second, you will hear weird noises.
Third, climate will be turned off and on again.
Fourth, windows are locked temporarily
Fifth, climate will be turned off.
Finally, everything will be turned on after the screen reboots (it takes 5 minutes for a reboot..)

You’re in CO aren’t you? I’m taking my 2024 Model 3 to the Littleton SC on Tuesday to fix a myriad of issues such as the LED light strip not being aligned, A/C fan making a noise, dash rattle, door chip(pretty minor) and some solvent pop under the clear coat. Do you have a SC you prefer in CO? I’ve had mixed results at Littleton and but I’m hoping they’ll resolve all my issues.
