Seen is about two of NowThis’ most important pillars: inclusion and representation. 'Seen' shines a spotlight on the game changers in pop culture; the people who are seeing a void in the zeitgeist and carving their own niches. These are the people who wish to see themselves reflected in fashion, beauty, film, and television. These are the people who are using their platforms to make a lasting difference on the landscape of culture — regardless of their status or recognizability. These are the individuals who deserve to be seen.

“There are no Princesses, little girls are also kinky! Your kids aren’t as straight and narrow as you think!”- Alok Vaid Menon

criticism isn't hatred. part of living in a free society is dealing with free speech, and learning how to take criticism. just cause someone criticizes your lifestyle doesn't make you a victim.

He's just a self-absorbed queen in colorful outfits, not trans at all.

“The supposed “purity “ of abuse victims has remained stagnant. There are no princesses. Little girls are also Kinky. Your kids aren’t as straight and narrow as you think” Alok in his own words on his own Twitter.

Does being gender non conforming mean you have to dress like a clown?

You're not trans. Like this is pretty offensive to actual trans people.

When you mock and use a niche of people’s identities as commodity

This guy is very disingenuous.
He comes from a super-wealthy family and was Ivy League educated. He never acknowledges his wealth privilege. How do you think he affords all those fancy outfits. He is not wearing cheap stuff. He is a Trust Fund Baby living off his parents wealth...and yet he is lecturing us poor plebs to "do better"?

You REALLY have to wonder if these people are trolls without even knowing they are.

Jesus this man just wants to feel special and have attention. I’d imagine trans people find this so annoying that someone who just puts on a dress says they have the same struggles

I thought the whole purpose of dressing up as a clown was to get people to laugh at you... I'm confused.

At the end of the day you can wear what you want but it doesn’t make you special or less privileged because people find your clown outfits unusual

“I’m a trans clown, my pronouns are they, them, zey zem. I’m also like a coconut, brown, rough, and hairy on the outside, white on the inside. I’m also just taking advantage of the system because it benefits me this way.”

Stop speaking for trans people when you’re not trans. When you haven’t had the surgery’s. The therapies. And the hormones.

I feel like this is what happens when we live where we do and are so lucky, people are trying to create struggles to make themselves feel special. Who cares if you wanna wear a dress ? No one hun no one
