Показать описание
Revising for Respiratory System Histories for your OSCEs can be made easier by focusing down on common symptoms that patients with respiratory diseases often present with.

Common Respiratory System histories for medical school examinations tend to follow themes:

- Cough
- Wheeze
- Haemoptysis
- Chest Pain
- Shortness of breath

By focusing your OSCE revision to these common symptoms you can optimise your revision time and remote the fear of coming up against a respiratory case.

These common respiratory symptoms have the benefit of crossing over into other specialities as well

I came to this channel because of Dr. Gill's voice, but now I'm totally interested in understanding this specific medical things. It is not easy and besides the fact I am russian and my english is not so good. But I'm really trying

The way you say the word “respiratory” sounds like you’re casting a Harry Potter spell.

If every doctor was as dedicated as Dr. Gill, the world would be a far healthier place.

Thank you so much. Anyone else would have charged a fortune for such extensive coverage of these topics. Lots of time and effort has been put into this and it really shows. Its gold for us medical students around the world. Thank you so so much again. You're a legend! 😀

10:20 It's such a blessing to know that you have a doctor that is actually taking care of things. My partner went to a clinic because she had been sick for 2 months with gastrological problems which in turn worsened her asthma. Her doctor shooed her because she thought she was putting the clinic in danger. Gave her antibiotics without even examining her. After some days we went to another doctor who got her history in the short time of 3 minutes ( she said that she had already seen 5 doctors prior to him because nobody could find the reason she had extreme pain and dysphagia )... He gave her psychoactive drugs for a month and told her it was all in her mind. And then we went to the hospital where they gave her 2500ml Methamizol for the pain and told her to leave.... Methamizol, because she has had a Thyroidectomy, completely messed her up sending her into pharmaceutical induced Hypothyroidism. I hope nobody goes through this. It has been a test for us and really tought us what it means to have a good doctor. Please keep doing what you are doing.

The part when you talk about helping, but not promising to cure people. This is so important. The last 14 years of nursing showed me that usually people just want someone to listen to them, not necessarily promise them a miracle.

I'm studying to be a rad tech, and I won't be diagnosing or anything like that but your professional mannerism is something I want to take into my job. Thank u Dr. Gill

Thanks Dr. Gill, I personally find these videos highly educational and although I myself don't work in the medical field and won't ever use this knowledge I find it interesting and very relaxing, I joined your channel from the ASMR side but still enjoy you content for both educational as well as relaxing purposes. I appreciate you sharing you skills for the community and hope you continue to do so. Also appreciate you're reading books on the channel as well.

This is very informative and essential for lay people who are not familiar with knowledge in respiratory symptoms. I gave been watching this Doc in many previous videos in the past too.

Well doc, at the moment, the only respiratory symptom I’m having right now is that you’ve taken my breath away.

Jokes aside, lovely presentation!
