Mr. Imperium 1951 (romantic musical drama film)

"Mr. Imperium" (also known as "You Belong to My Heart") is a 1951 romantic musical drama film produced by MGM and starring Lana Turner and Ezio Pinza. Directed by Don Hartman, the film is based on a play written by Edwin H. Knopf, who co-wrote the screenplay with Hartman. The musical score was composed by Bronisław Kaper and Turner's singing voice was dubbed by Trudy Erwin.

The plot follows the story of American Frederica Brown and Prince Alexis, who go by the nicknames Fredda and Al, respectively. After a chance meeting, they fall in love, but are separated by circumstances. Twelve years later, they reunite, but the prince must leave again to attend to his duties as the heir to the throne.

In 1979, the film entered the public domain in the US due to MGM not renewing the copyright.
