Infrastructure bill could be cut in half with new bipartisan strategy

The problem with bi-partisanship in getting things done is that the Republicans and Democrats are working at cross purposes. Sure, the Republicans will agree to spend money on infrastructure but not at the expense of their wealthy donors, which is how the Democrats want to fund it. Raising taxes on wealthy corporations and individuals making over $400, 000 per year is simply not a go with Republicans.

Why would you want to cut an infrastructure bill??? The whole point is to make the country robust and efficient. Last time we did something even similar was 70 years ago. This is something literally everyone in America will use so I don’t see why they’re so hesitant about this. The money would have to go to American companies for the work which would be a boon to our economy right now.

This is brilliant, so let's pass 1.5T dollars spending spree under the guise of infrastructure, even though 600B tops will actually be used on infrastructure, then once it's passed, let's all act like we care about "wasteful spending" and cut the actual 600B that would have gone on infrastructure in half!!
