====
If powerful vehicles like Saturn V and Space Shuttle have helped America become the world's leading country in the aerospace field, ISS has been acting as shields to help America continue to maintain its position for many decades.
However, at the end of this decade, it may end its life after more than 30 years of operation. This will create a large gap in NASA's space system, causing them to urgently find ways to fill it.
But perhaps NASA's haste led to mistakes when deciding to award contracts to too many companies, causing the waste of money and time on unsustainable projects. Recently, one of those investments, Orbital Reef led by Blue Origin and Sierra Space, is showing signs of collapse as the two companies no longer want to cooperate.
Once again we have to mention a familiar name, Blue Origin, a company famous for its slowness and has disappointed NASA many times. This time, they made NASA miserable again because of their incompetence and non-seriousness in the above space station project.
So why does this happen? How will it affect NASA's space station plans?
Let’s find out on today’s episode of Great SpaceX.

To be resolved, thank you.

If blue origin doesn’t deliver, they should have to give the money back.

I can't see Blue Origin even coming close to building a space station. Hell they can't even get off the grown.

SpaceX could easily solve many of NASA s problems. The primary problem with NASA is poor management and excessive waste. By streamlining the operations and adding a repayment clause to all contracts for failure to deliver in a timely fashion they can hold contractors accountable and make actual progress. They can also aid contractors that do deliver by putting their weight behind projects like starship.

They should just give the contract to SpaceX.

These legacy contractors, and new ones like Blue origin are just bloated messes that are constantly behind schedule.

My guess is that Orbital Reef will never be built. The same may end up being true for Axiom's modules. I would not be at all surprised to hear that SpaceX would put up a Starship into LEO as a space station.

NASA needs to put pressure on Fish and Wild life as well as FAA and focus on getting Starship off the ground!

It's difficult to call BO a space company, since there are 0 launches into space .

I never believed in Blue Origin, they accomplished nothing noteworthy in 20 years.

When looking at NASA's past actions I say it's too much politicized
If you ask me then I say that SpaceX must build its own station, without NASA

All Blue Origin contracts should be terminated and given to SpaceX...

Dump Blue Origin, the SLS and cut their losses, and stick with the competition that is actually moving forward with determination

Gee, did the FAA and Fish and Wildlife Service give their approval to the Chinese Space Station already?/s

Why are we wasting time building non rotational space stations!! Micro gravity experimentation in the centre together with space dock, living and social in the ring so a lack of gravity doesn't adversely affect people on the station. It could be built off the existing ISS with everything transported using current and future transportation. Why is it we seem to have gone backwards since the 60's!!

Should put spaceX in touch with Sierra. Those expanding modules could mean that spaceX can put the whole station up in a couple of Falcon heavy flights

I believe it is time to disinate Boca Chica as an international space port. We need to get Starship flying even if it can't land yet. They can be flying missions while we learn how to land it. How many star ships can we fly for the cost of one SLS launch. The way I understand it, more than a few.

Interesting that they are saying they NEED SpaceX. Well they should try and help SpaceX get into space with the new rocket. They just might need StarShip sooner than they thought so NASA and the country need to help make this happen as best they can.

Blue origin is the Bernie Madoff of the space industry, Pretty much sums Bezos up.

Why is Blue Origin considered a serious competitor at all?
It’s a hobby company started by a billionaire for bragging rights with other billionaires.
In the 20+ years it’s been around it’s sole achievement is deploying what is effectively a space bungee ride for deep pockets ‘space tourists’, and last year the space bungee ride broke.
New Shepard resembles something out of the Austin Powers movie and the owner resembles Dr.Evil.

Oh, and it’s well known for deployments of armies of lawyers to sue it’s way into projects because it can’t compete on design merits, it’s Blue Moon lander looks like a recycled Apollo design.
Yet when SpaceX lands a contract they get hamstrung on a shoestring budget, when BO jumps in they get more funding, maybe because it’s owner might pitch a fit and say bad things in WaPo if he doesn’t get his way.

Too bad the ULA bet on BE-4 they probably wish they actually had a plan B, now they’re going to find out what happens when you fall for sales pitches composed of CGI and mock-ups from a company which sues competitors to compete in the industry.
Hopefully NASA stops buying into the vapourware sales pitches of BO, with China in ascendency the US wants to rely on a internet retailer for its space program? It would be like China relying on Alibaba to develop and launch their rockets.

Sierra's inflatable station modules may have promise. Sierra has shown a sign of wisdom by distancing themselves from the beached Blue Whale. Bezos is a smart guy, but he isn't proceeding fast enough to be competitive.

SpaceX could build a space station as part of their orbital refueling depot. It would be a moneymaker to offset expenses. Then they could tell NASA to pound sand. 😎
