Starship SN9 Update, what are the chances of SN9 completing 2nd Starship Test this year? This video was made on December 22nd, so it was up;dated to that point, everything beyond 22nd was my guessing, although I did predict there won't be flight this year, I am expecting Starship SN-9 will perform flight test no sooner than January 27th. Video was premiered on December 28th, due to Christmas holidays. If you liked this video please press like, consider subscribing and share it on social media platforms if you liked it. Thank you. Stay safe. Peace.

After pressure and Raptor test. So beginning of new year!

I think that most of us are overlooking just a few facts, the flight of a rocket has really been pretty basic since the 60s, once we figured that out how to fly the thing and adapting the payloads now we find ourselves challenged with how much bigger we can go… It’s all relative really, mass and size increase along with flight operations and characteristics really make it easy to advance and I think that the advancement of superheavy is going to go really fast based on the historical data received from SpaceX and their first flight until current and that is a massive amount of information to circumvent delays and/or problems…

With the incident of starship SN8. I understand that the header tank lost pressure, or that the Pressure was too low, in the header tank. There by starving the engine of fuel. I think an easy fix would be a fuel tank designed as a large accumulator. That may be pressurized with nitrogen, or a large spring mechanism, In this way. The fuel would remain under constant pressure for the most part.

The tiles don’t necessarily mean anything for the altitude. They might just want to perform an acoustic test for them...

The tiles would be ineffective at determining temperature results since the rest of the ship is exposed. Probably adhesion because of the stainless expansion and aerodynamic forces. I’m not an aeronautical engineer, I just stayed in a holiday inn.

Nice video man, surprised I haven't seen any of your videos before. I'm a huge starship enthusiast.

Star Ship testing also tests many aspects of Superheavy's design. I suspect the actual construction and testing of Superheavy will be quicker than many anticipate.

..befor SN8 experienced a slight mishap. You mean a rapid, unplanned, disassembly?

Dates you predicted are considerably accurate but I don`t consider january 27th imminent.

I knew instantly the green flame was engine failure, but your explanation was really good. Very good video!!

I doubt they will do a 22km hop with SN 9 since they like to do test flights in pair and that the SN 9 is not covered in enough heat shield tiles to make any difference. Thus they still need to perform the landing manouver and they could also use the gathered data to see if the misshap in highbay had any effect on SN 9s performance.

So expect the next step to be taken by SN 10 and 11. Johan.

My birthday is on the 6th. That'd be an amazing present if they land it then

Great, informative video, big thanks for the time and efforts you applied to put it together!
Now I have a question:
What’s the point searching the other habitable zones/planets tens or even hundreds of light years away, since we must understand that our species will never - ever - be able to reach even the closest to us star, Proxima Centauri, which is less than 4 light years from us as a crow flies?
These are unreachable goals, even though it still fun to observe them through the telescopes and dreaming of some “space aliens”! (There is absolutely no evidence of their existence anywhere within the observable Universe).
We are absolutely alone.

I’m sure it’ll be tank pressure testing, cryo or just test fires of raptors this year. Launch in 21.

My prediction is test flight on January 12th

So, why did SN9 loss balance? I can only think of engineering failure or human error. Which one?
