Frederik Copper is from the Netherlands, and joined the Headquarters of the World Health Organisation in 2016 from the UN World Food Programme (WFP), initially in Rome and later deployed to Jordan for 2 years to support the Syria Regional Crisis Response.
He also worked in the WFP Egypt country office before moving to WHO Geneva. Fred does not have a public health/medical background, but a Master’s in human geography and a Master’s in public administration with a specialty in Crisis & Security Management. He is married with two children – a little boy now two years old and he recently welcomed a baby girl into the family one month ago. Watch the video to see his story.
