9 Watch Brands You Probably Don't Know

NO Rolex or OMEGA in this one. Habring (or Habring2 I should say), Laurent Ferrier, AnOrdain, Simon Brette, Akrivia and so many more. Here are watch brands that are absolutely incredible but no one is talking about them (for whatever reason). Some of these are insanely expensive, haute horology, while others are very reasonable and every man. Here's 9 watch brands you probably don't know BUT YOU SHOULD!

Highlighting unknown or lesser known watch brands is always a worthwhile endeavor and I truly appreciate you for sharing these.

"XH" in Albanian stands for "J", therefore Rejep Rejepi

I see D. Dornbluth & Sohn has already been mentioned several times. I’m in the process of commissioning a watch with them now. Another excellent, fully handcrafted German watch brand at approachable prices is Jochen Benzinger. He has his own line and also collaborates with other top independent watch makers like Habring.

Don’t forget KUOE KYOTO. My favorite is the 36mm Royal Smith

So happy that you bring up Laurent Ferrier.
They are just A M A Z I N G!, no BS, beautiful, technical, high quality, pricey but worth it! Pls bring more info on it!

Britt,
This is one of your best videos! It’s so much fun learning about new brands. I would add:
Nivada - a revival of an older Swiss brand that has reissued a number of its classics, including the Antarctic and Depthmaster.
Peguinet - a French company that makes beautiful watches with an in-house caliber

Nice video! A couple of the brands you mentioned were unknown to me. I suggest you something more: Kudoke from Germany, Minase from Japan and Ichnos from Italy.

Please have a look at Alexander Shorokhoff - their motto is 'Art on the Wrist'. German watch brand with really unique designs and affordable prices.

De Rijke & Co make awesome watches too. I'd love one of their simpler Miffy watches so much. But also hard to get.

Ming (from future classic 17.09 to gphg winning 17.06
Weiss to récord breaking lw.01... with that insane seconds animation)

Dornbluth. So slept on it hurts.

Pikullik has a cool story behind it as well as fine watchmaking

Islander watches... lots of misses but the northport (sapphire bezel, omiwatari dial pattern, amazing colour fades, good bracelets), the great wave and some of their pilot models are amazing bang for buck)

Maurice lacroix...slept on high horology like their roue carre

Mhule glashutte. No gimmicks. Just solid watchmaking.

Orient. Better and more interesting than seiko for less money.

I love the Habring2 Foudroyante! It's such a cool and unique complication.

You'll already know about this brand, but my choice to dive into would be Ressence. Their take is so utterly unique, mechanically and visually, that it deserves far more recognition.

Another would be Lundis Bleus, who are making gorgeous, handmade and bespoke enamel dials for a price not far off Anordain.

Been watching watch videos for 10 years and have never heard of any of these brands, which says a lot about how the watch video community works. Really interesting, thank you.

My favorite is Ressence but you probably heared already of them :p
So the first one should be Erebus and thei Ascent model.
Second I'd go for Eone and their Bradley model.

Hi Britt,
Try Hanhart . Great heritage, loved by the actor Steve McQueen, one of the first Type 20’s, small independent German Co working out of the Black Forest . Love your channel, keep up the good work,
All the best,
Chris Gilling .

Great intro to some other brands! Don’t recall you ever talking about Hanhart. Great German brand with some good pilot heritage for their chronos. Even the King of Cool wore a 417 ES! Also Squale with dive heritage back to the 50s and some newer lower price points in Scurfa and Unimatic.

Great video, others that come to mind Struthers, Arnold&Son, Atelier Wen, Pequignet, Maison Celadon, and Millecron. And I think Chronoswiss are kinda known but deserve more love.

Oh and gold star for me as I knew all of these bar SUF but have heard of Stefan Sarpaneva. Big myself up.

Even though I have been into watches for more than 10 years, I learned a few new brands. Great video and selection
