Putting a fresh voice to that vintage Busta flow. back quarter note / half note triplet syncopations straight glued to that bassline. I am so late to the party on Little Simz but absolutely stoked about everything I've heard. One of the most exciting rappers I've heard in a minute.

As for folks saying she's one of the best "female" rappers, I say she rhymes circles around most of the run of the mill rap out there these days.

The late great Cleveland Eaton on the sampled bass line, he was the bass player for Ramsey Lewis during the Solar Wind album recording when they recorded there version of "Summer Breeze" where that dope double bass sample derives. He also played for the Count Basie Orchestra. One hell of a musican he passed 2 years ago.
