First Test: WEN 4017 16 inch Corded Electric Chainsaw

I purchased this corded electric chain saw with a 16" bar to use for light projects around my yard. It will mostly be used for pruning and cutting up branches that fall during storms. After my initial tests, I am very pleased with the performance of this saw.

TY so much. This is the only video that actually shows someone putting the bar & chain on. I've never done it before & the instructions that came with it are lacking IMO. I actually had it on wrong but I watched this video thankfully before trying to use it. You saved me a ton of grief. I have a maple tree down in my yard & can't afford to hire anyone to cut it. The cost of the saw is waaauyyyy cheaper than what I was quoted if someone else came to do it. Anyway, you don't know just how much I appreciate this. Thanks to youtube & people like yourself I've done everything from fixing my own dryer to fixing my leaky roof. All by myself too ❤❤

I'm pretty happy with this little saw, I got it yesterday and cleaned up the over growth and small trees on my property from when it was logged a few years ago. I have tried many different electric and gas models chainsaws and I have to say that for the money its a dandy little saw .After cutting with it for several hours I didn't feel fatigued from using it.

Just got mine today ($52 Walmart) and it works just like my gas powered one -that will not EVER start when I need it to. Biggest pluses for me is ease of use, low maintenance and relative quietness! I have many pruning projects on our property and outlets on every edge of the yard, so will be putting it to the test.

I CALL BULLSHIT! The chain was not on properly there's no way he could have cut like that. He stopped the recording fixed the chain and then started to record again.

Is the hole on the chain for deciding when the chain needs to be replaced? IOW's, once the bolt meets up with the circular hole, does that mean the chain is stretched out and could break?

I had one problem after another with this chainsaw. Not recommended. Oil leaking after a few times used.

Usually stuff like this I order online is a process to put together but this seems incredibly simple so that is nice. I have an entire tree that fell over to chop up I'll reply to this comment after I do it so people can get another review on a more strenuous job for the small electric chainsaw.

Some people complain about no chain brake on this model. I don't think it's too big of a deal as long as you don't stick the chainsaw in your eye. Are there at least safety instructions included that say not to stick the chainsaw in your eye? I think that might help.
