I bet Robert Hunter and Jerry Garcia are up in the heavens, smiling down at what you've done with their song. Great job.

You are absolutely amazing! It's so refreshing to see people of your generation that appreciate the music of days long gone, but still embedded into our collective consciousness and therefore, never furthur (misspelled "Further" purposely lol) away than a few clicks of that little mouse. I find your singing extremely unique (in a good way!) you've taken this song, and you've allowed yourself to become fully embraced by the dynamics of every note and little nuance; the entirety of the songs that you allow yourself to become immersed in, they imprint onto your brain and become part of who you are. As a musician myself, I can intuit how much of a positive resonance and impact your songs have; it becomes apparent to me in each strum of the chords, or in the way you play the main "sequence" of the song, and your timing on the changes between verse and chorus and that one small bridge that only another fellow child of the cosmic everything can understand! I must say one more thing, you are absolutely adorable and when I watch your vids, I can imagine just hanging out, jamming some tunes (I play 5 string bass mostly, but can also play guitar and drums) and in between jam sessions, smoke a little dank nuggets, and then sit out on the grass; on a warm summer evening. There's a gentle breeze and twilight starts turning into night. From the northwest corner, of a brand-new crescent moon, crickets and cicadas sing a rare and different tune, Terrapin Station... btw, Sometimes the Songs that we Sing are just Songs of Our Own! -Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world! Please don't ever give up on your exceptional talent to create colorful, passion-fueled MUSIC... <3 ~Matt~

Great redo. The D'Angelico adds alot of tonal variety that adds to the Dead vibe so present here. It sounds like the bottom end is picking up an extra octave. Maybe an octave pedal? Really sweet Jerry like lead single note excursions. Very Dead sounding with your own spin. Your studio wall hanging also adds to the Dead vibe. If you have seen any photos of the inside of the Deads' 710 Ashbury house (where Janis hung out a lot), or any photos of Janis in her SF room, the visual image in this video totally exudes the same vibe. Channeling Janis and Jerry. Not too shabby.

I just had to watch this video again (and again) omg such a great cover! I'd love to jam with you one of these days! I live in NY, where are you located? Oh btw, I play bass (mostly) - I started playing at age 11 and am 44 now so I have been playing bass for 33 years! I can also play guitar, drums, and backing vocals...
