I have a Milwaukee power plus 18V that has the same motor so I was able to see how you replaced the brushes. I'm not going to remove the rotor so I won't struggle with the press-fit gear. I do have to find the brushes though. Thanks for posting.

What the size of the connection chuck sir.? 3/8 or 1/2 ...i want to replace my chuck since it no longer grip well after years of use

You definitely need a pair of snap ring pliers my friend! Watching you pry that big circlip out was like hearing nails on a chalkboard. Also, I would get a good 6” (150 mm) vise - much better for pressing those small gears onto the motor shaft.

Hi I’m trying to follow along but the motor won’t come apart. It looks effortless in every other video like this where it just falls apart when taken away from the housing. Any idea what I’m doing wrong?

Hello! I have now the same problem! I re-assembled everything almost the way you did! Especially the motor. I checked it with 12V before reassembly. But.... after the reassembly the motor smokes again. So here is the question: WHAT EXACTLY WAS THE REAL PROBLEM WITH YOUR DEVICE? I just cannot believe this was about debries and old greese.
