I saw the fire on Sunday...about an hour after it was first reported. It was still small.
I'm surprised it wasn't put out before all this happened.
It was 2 full days before the winds blew it out of control. Senseless.

All it takes is dryness n wind to cause a spark from a grinder or even an axe hitting a rock wrong, wires that touch in the wind....had several brown outs this past month not in flagstaff area. We had ground fires from hot catalytic converters when people pull over on the hwy.

Just be careful with fires. And you know damn well it's probably was dry there. Blame it on a windy day. Be careful.

The caption says, "Tunnel fire" ? Should it perhaps have been a, "Funnel fire, " as in a fire tornado? I know that the fact there's a devastating fire is the point but I was trying to make sense out of the headline of the news item. In other words I am still trying to understand what "tunnel" has to do with this.

And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (Job 2:2)
- Repent. Jesus, the King of kings, is coming soon.
