British reporters need to be a bit more gentle with the English😆 Even Federer, as good as he is in English had to ask the meaning of certain expressions or idioms. It's understandable. They need to keep it simple.

Commiserations is considered to be a very common word in sport for English people, especially in this context, I wouldn't think twice about using it
