One thing I like about this trailer is they didn't give away a lot. I don't know what this is about but looks interesting.

The Rock's emotional range is really the one of a rock.

It has a very Aquaman-ish vibe. Lots of good action, visual effects and has emotional moments when it needs to.. and tbh that’s all i ever wanted! Cyclone and Fate are gonna be the stand outs in my opinion.

The Rock has been attached to this character since 2007 where he wanted fans to vote whether he should play Black Adam or Shazam. Then in 2014 he was announced as Black Adam and have been holding this character when the project was passed to many different directors and writers. It really shows how passionate he is in the role and so far he looks absolutely good in the role

Since the rock is so popular I think movie Black Adam will never go full villain like the character has done so many times in the comics, similar to the Sony's villain movies in that they are basically heroes.

I 100% agree. It feels in between a comic book adaptation and a Dwayne Johnson movie. I think some shots look cool (especially when they use their powers), but the tone doesn't give me "Black Adam" vibes. I also just do not see Black Adam in The Rock at all. It's just The Rock in costume. It feels like he's playing dress up more than he is embodying the character.

I agree Grace, I can't get past the Rock being the Rock instead of Black Adam. The way he delivered the line "but I do" was not great……
I'm also more intrigued about the Justice Society 😂😂

I was very worried building up to the trailer releasing as I thought it was going to be made too much of them having Adam be a good guy like the parts The Rock does in all his movies. I feel like it's much better than I was expecting, some shots gave my comic book / ZS's MoS vibes in some of the action. I'm feeling the hype 🙌

I feel like this trailer was really strong until the crowbar scene, then it just turned into another rock comedy. Also, where was Cyclone?

I mean...this is the first time I've been legitimately interested in a DCEU movie since...what, Wonder Woman? It helps knowing how much Johnson has worked to make this movie happen (from the way he's talked about it over the past decade, this feels like a real passion project for him), but the character also seems unique for the current superhero movie landscape. I dunno, could be fun.

Nobody's gonna talk about how the opening scene and that drop off that air craft scene looks exactly like black panther ? And the music choice too
