"Yes, your honor, at some point negotiations broke down. I think it was around 'one-eyed fat man' and 'son-of-a-bitch."

One of the best westerns of all time, imho. Hailey Steinfeld leads an excellent cast and the writing is superlative.

As good or better that the classic John Wayne version. Gotta love JB’s performance…!

This guy did an excellent job of playing Ned. Just as good as a job as Robert Duvall did in the 1969 true grit.

Really fine acting. This scene dialogue exact to the original.

The original was great for its day, but this one is sublime.

As a man that grew up on all the great John Wayne flicks and even had a dog that i raised to be an almost copy in personality to Sam from Hondo and "Dog" from Big Jake, Bridges portrayal of Rooster is by far and away superior to anything The Duke couldve ever dreamed of doing. When Wayne got the Oscar for his role as Rooster it waa given to him l, he didnt win it.

He definitely played a better drunk than John Wayne, but I still love the original just cause I would watch it with my dad when I was growing up.
