John McEnroe captains Team World, consisting of Francisco Cerundolo, Taylor Fritz, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Ben Shelton, Alejandro Tabilo and Frances Tiafoe. Team Europe’s Vice Captain is Thomas Enqvist and Team World’s Vice Captain is Patrick McEnroe. Team World are the reigning champions after winning at Vancouver 2023.

Shelton didnt play bad but still has a long way to go if he wants to beat the very top of the game

Theres a few athletes where its just evident watching them that their biomechanics are just plain different than everyone else. Alcaraz just moves with such insane speed, power, and flexibility, and hes got such easy power. Reminds me of watching patrick mahomes play football.

Shelton reminds me of early Shapovolav. Moves quick on the court and loves to hit aggressively. Needs to have more control and consistency in his game or else he’ll never be top 5

Maybe prolonging the point is a better strategy? Alcaraz seems to have an intention for each shot, building to a winning point. He’s definitely not a random ball striker

The thing that separates Shelton from the top level is a return game. He really didn’t threaten Alcatraz at all on his Service games. And Alcarez, Sinner, Medvedev, Djoker Are going to break his serve at least once a set.
