9.1 FROM AND TO THE AIRPORT
MARCO POLO AIRPORT:
* Airport bus (ATVO express bus) or local bus (ACTV bus)
Usually departing every 30 minutes.
Get tickets for both bus services when you arrive at the counter or at the ticket machine.
Price: 8 EUR one way, 15 EUR return in both cases.
* A water bus: depart every hour.
Price: EUR one-way, 27 EUR return ticket.
Buy the ticket online or directly at the airport.
* Train: first short bus ride, then train to Santa Lucia Station
* Taxi/transfer (cost about 50 EUR): drop you off at Piazzale Roma
* Water Taxi
TREVISO AIRPORT:
* ATVO bus: departs every 70 minutes, drops off at Piazzale Roma
* Brazi bus: drops you off at Tronchetto
Tickets at the counter or a ticket machine at the airport. Price: 12 EUR one way, 22 EUR round trip

I recently went to Venice and I personally recommend to stay outside the city along the train line. We stayed in Mogliano Veneto in a hotel called The Foscarini and it was cheaper and way better than any reasonable priced hotel in the city center, plus the rooms were fire. We got to Venice by train in 25 minutes paying 3 euros, and the station was just 2 minutes from the hotel. As far as Venice itself it is amazing and you tips are very accurate

if you want to enter the city by boat, you will depart from Punta Sabioni from time to time. And it comes back at intervals. There is parking (meaning Punta Sabioni) which is valid until midnight on the day of your arrival and is € 7. There are special shipping companies and you need to make sure you are on the right company ship. This takes you to the beginning of St. Mark's Square. Very nice town. Tip: don’t cheap out and stay in mestre or padova. You’re on holiday/vacation in venice. It might be the last time you are there.
