Ancestors style to this would be perfection, and make perfect sense as Ants have been around since before the dinosaurs. Lots of history and game levels that be created with its own unique twist to gameplay and exploration.

I really appreciate the way you don't play games you're not enjoying. "Playing" a game just because it's popular isn't good content, I find it frustrating and boring.

I agree on your take. I think an approach inspired by Ancestors' gameplay design would definitely have added a lot of depth and the ability for one to connect & be more invested in the storyline. Still a beautifully designed game though!
