In June 2024, Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated this facility at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport.

The facility is being launched at 21 major airports, including 7 key ones: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad.

In the first phase, Indian citizens and OCI cardholders will be covered and in the second phase, foreign travellers will be covered.

Registration is valid until the passport’s expiry or for five years and can be renewed.

2. Upon successful submission, you will receive an acknowledgment on registered mobile number and email address.


3. The information provided by the you may be verified through official channels.


4. Once the application is approved, you will receive a message to schedule an appointment for biometric enrolment.


5. Biometrics can be enrolled at any designated international airport in India or the nearest FRRO office, as per the appointment schedule sent to the registered email.


6. If your biometrics cannot be captured, you will not be registered for FTI-TTP.
Once Biometrics is done, login to your account to check the status.


7. If the application is approved, you'll be added to a ‘Trusted Traveller’ whitelist.


8. The whole process may takes around 10-15 days

Steps to follow at the airport:


1. After receiving the boarding pass, the passenger proceeds to the dedicated TTP e-gates at Immigration.


2. At the first e-gate, the passenger scans their passport and boarding pass. Upon verification, the gate opens.


3. At the next e-gate, the passenger's face is scanned. If verified, the emigration process is complete.
