I think Kidd benefits more from passing quickly than people know. That last one for example. He launched it as soon as he picked up the ball and he threw it where that guy could have definitely caught it, but the guy was just not ready to intercept a pass.

A lot of these passes benefit not only from the execution, but also from the element of surprise.

They robbed Duncan in 1999 and gave it to Karl Malone and then robbed Kidd in 2002 instead to gave it to Duncan. Well he beat his then wife which had an impact on his running but it's a no brainer that he was the winner that year.

Sad thing is, Nash was almost as good passing the ball but was clearly the better shooter and people love offense more than defense so Nash got the MVPs. Also Kidd was better in his 30s because he had the defense, still kept himself in great shape, passing ability as well, but could finally shoot a solid 33-35% from the 3pt line and he had great veteran teammates in that Dallas team, Im an LBJ fan and even though I hated watching Jason Terry win, Jason Kidd and Dirk and Chandler, (knowing their backstories and how they were really good early 2000's players) deserved that 2011 win for sure. Cemented HOF.
