There’s a lot of courage in humility. It takes courage to admit that you’re wrong and need to learn more.

So many people need to hear this, particularly those "judging" anyone who is in some way, shape or form doing better than them. I do think being humble in front of someone objectively better than you is true courage. If not, then what? Envy? Bitterness? Narcissism? It's the challenge that we must meet with courage, truth, transparency, and humility.

Feels like humility opens up an entire pool of knowledge. Even if you need to purify the water that's scooped out, you can keep scooping until you get what you need.

I’ve been cogitating on that, and I came to the same conclusion. Humility is sacrificial in that sense, being in itself nothing but a willingness to a live a life in accordance to the truth, and it so happens that the truth is far more complex than we could process, and that being the case, it is better to judge ourselves less perfect than we might be, because that puts us in the advantage of being able to peruse progress rather than being puffed up with false virtue. All the more true, as humans are inclined to judge themselves better than they are

Socrate diceva "so di non sapere" Translated: "I know that I know nothing." My thought is: we all are some how ignorant and acknowledge that is a powerful motivation to learn.

I love what the Savior says in Ether 12:27 "I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." Literally one of my favourite verses in the Book of Mormon.

Humility is a social construct and in aspects of many cultures it is viewed as a weakness, furthermore following the norm is usually easy, stepping outside of cultural moirés often carries a cost and requires some level of strength...

Wise words from Jordon Peterson.

Also humilty is also recognise what you thing is right might not be right and always be ready to question what you know and also do not know.

What would be nice in this case if Jordon Peterson actual practices what he speaks.

I am agreeing. Put someone else needs before mine because the other well being is more important than mine .

💯 I most certainly did take a leap of courage.. where others wouldn’t attempt the humility to do so..

What I don’t know will always outweigh what I do know. I acknowledge and recognize that my mental capacity isn’t set up for that.

I think we all should keep learning because why would anyone learn one thing and decide "oh that's all I want to know in life" That would be a horrible way of thinking. There are some ridiculous questions, but the only dumb question is not asking the question in the first place.
