My first time working on an XC90. Thanks for the help. This works for 2018 model too.

Thank you for this video.

Surely, does this not require a recall if Volvo know it's a common problem?

Awesome demonstration video, Thanks 👏🏼

Btw, would this Door Lock Actuator Motor cause my window and lock not to work if defective?

Hi there! Thanks for the video! I'm trying to fix it by myself and stuck in the removing inner door panel. I unscrewed all the bolts but somehow it still didn't come out and now the window is sliding down when I pull the inner door panel down. Are those attached together? Any guidance to remove it? Thank you!!

I had the same issue on my 2017 XC90 but after been priced €850 from Volvo for a replacement door actuator I decided to investigate it myself. My rear door was completely dead locked from both inside and outside of the car but when I checked it out I found that the dead lock mechanism had become stuck and by using a small rod I could release it without completely dismantling the door panelling. After I released the dead lock mechanism I then greased it up and haven't had a issue since and that was over 1 year ago.
