This video shows the process of growing Seaberry Plants from Seed for under $10.

1. Soak in water for 24 hours
2. Put seeds in a damp paper towel in a plastic baggie in the fridge for 90 days.
3. Plant seeds in a 1020 tray, I grew under my Kingbo LED grow lights for a few weeks, then transferred to a larger pot.

How did your sea berry plants do? When you grow from seed do you get both male and female plants? Do you have to wait until they are bigger to know if they are male or female? I know nothing about them but what I have read which is you need a male for every 6-8 female plants. Ty

I have been trying to grow seaberries from seeds this summer and lost them three times. They all grow up to 6-8 true leaves and then vanish. Can’t figure out why - deer, bugs, or rot? Do you have a special way you “baby” your seedlings? I tried to grow on the windowsill, but they grew leggy - need more light.

Thanks for your video! Would you consider growing a more mature Seaberry in a large container (as a way to prevent overgrowth and spreading)?

did you cold stratify the seeds before you tried to germinate them?
