This is one of the prettiest songs Taylor's ever made. The vocal arrangement is absolutely beautiful. The innocence of the adolescent subject matter makes you think of yourself when you were young as well and makes you feel so grounded. That echo-y "You Have No Idea" in the bridge expresses a kind of pain/dread that the child being spoken of has no idea or concern yet about serious things in life that bring pain because they're so young, but one day will 🥲 it's about wanting to preserve one's youth, innocence and protect them from the world as long as possible 🤍😭

Guys, this song ‘Robin’ is about Aaron Dessner’s child! I can’t find back the person (might be close with Aaron or Taylor) who spread this message but if you look back around end of 2021 or early 2022, there was a photo of them together - with a cat on Taylor’s arm and the child on Aaron. It might not make sense when you listen without knowing the story but now realising it was about Aaron’s child - IT SOUNDS SO BEAUTIFUL🥹🥹🥹
