Sound for Video Session — ZOOM F3, Ear Training, & Q&A

The ZOOM F3 has been out for a couple of years now and we've had several requests and questions come in over that time. So in this session, we'll take a look at how to set if up for various audio recording scenarios. It was originally pitched by ZOOM as a tiny recorder with XLR inputs to capture sound effects out in the field. But there are a few other use cases as well.

We'll do a bit of ear training, just to keep ourselves sharp — so we can fine tune our sound, our mixes, in DAWs and recorders. We'll also answer your sound for video questions.​

I have the zoom f3. Is it possible to connect it to the rode wireless pro and use it on a boom pole with a mic and wirelessly transfer the audio to my Canon C70? I want to put my camera at the top of a small cliff and walk to the bottom to get audio from a nearby creek. I know I could just sync the audio file later in post but I'm trying to cut down on the time in editing for this particular project. I guess my main concern is audio quality loss from the Rode wireless pros. My mic will be a Sennheiser 416. Thanks. Great video too btw.

How simply do you sync the sound track to video on your PC ? I am totally new to making videos.. I have a Z9 which takes super quality video ( in my opinion) and I have never post processed video.. I have the adobe SW

Hi Please Clear this doubt. To get 32 bit audio, do I need to have 32 bit Microphone or 32 bit Audio Interface or 32 bit Audio Editor. or is either one enough.

What is a good enough xlr mic that can reocord exsaust sound from inside backpack on motorcycle? Conderser?, dynamic? Shot gun?
