Don’t 100% agree with this take, but I will say this is a sympton of Oda giving most of world shaking events in this series to the Straw Hats. The problem with the Worst Generation is that they were stated to he Trouble Makers who could potentially disrupt the balance of the World.

But really Luffy and Teach are the only ones who have done this. The rest have at most been minor nuisances. Kidd and Law’s biggest impact loses its punch because it happens in a situation where Luffy was the driving force.

Kidd was never a good person. Even if he doesnt kill shanks crew, he doesnt need to do so to be viewed as evil. The guy literally got famous by murdering innocent civilians. Even past that we saw how he murders people who are already down and have given up. Kidd Is a villain in my eyes that just happened to team up with the straw hat/heart pirates alliance for an arc. Genuinely dont know where people got this idea that he was good.

Morj doesn't understand that the worst generation are ROOKIES. They just started doing their thing not many years ago, the Legends of old had decades to build their power and reputation. No generation had this many promising rookies, so naturally they are being hyped up as the future of pirates, joining ranks with the legends eventually.

How can you say law doesn't have any haki that can do anything when he literally nullified a devil fruit with his haki. remember he turned himself back into a man through sheer will of haki in his most recent fight

I think the point of ythe worst generation was that their come ups were easy cuz they're big fishes in small ponds but once they enter the new world that would be the true test to see whos really worthy of that worst generation title

They all reached the Sabaody archipelago during the same year. I'm guessing the generation here is representing 1 year. During the previous generation the most powerful rookie pirate was Cavendish, and that was probably the average year for piracy.
Kaido, Xebec, and Big Mom are not the same generation.

I mean remember that most pirates are literal dogshit. New World standard threats are like Brown Beard or Hajruddin.
I think this is really underselling the Worst Generation, and they were never played up to be eventually all on the level of stuff like Rocks or Roger.
I agree many ended up being narrative disappointments, but that’s mainly because half of them were in Wano which was a mess. And then there’s Kidd; I think the disappointment in him is literally spreading to the rest of the Supernovas.

Why would law need to coat his sword with haki, He uses it as a tool for his df powers he rarely cuts anything physically

Coating his sword with armament haki will only serve at draining him with no benefits

I think all "worst generation" and "supernova" mean is that these pirates had a meteoric rise, whereas it seems most other pirates take years or decades to gain notoriety or gain any sort of fame, ie a bounty around 300 mill in the span of about a year.

Even if luffy can't learn advanced conqueror's haki during the timeskip, the fact he didn't even know it existed until roofpiece is absurd. Rayleigh didn't tell him during a year & 1/2 of training? Not even a "hey, when you learn advanced CoA, try swapping armament for conqueror's".

It's so funny how we are forgetting the simple fact most of the worst generation guys are in there 20s and yonkous are in there prime... i mean people talking shit about kidd like 40 something kid wouldn't be able to defeat 70 something shaks or Blackbeard like the next era is definitely supposed to be of them

Didn't the old generation reach their prime in their 30's 40's and 50's comparittibley speaking 2 of the worst gen are yonko and 2 others defeated a yonko at much younger ages

Your ranking is because you are OVERESTIMATING them. They are a bunch of rookies for 2 years. The previous Yonkos have been around for decades. Only Luffy's growth rivals that because he has that potential.

I agree with allot of this. Except for law. The amount of strength he gained between fighting doflomingo to fighting big mom is insane and was in such short time. Law has zoro/ luffy progression but it’s like he started really late so he’s left behind a bit. And yes if kid would’ve killed all them ppl . I would’ve been peed off

I mean the worst generations are on like year two of their voyage. The older generation has been pirates for decades and when we always see them, they are at their peak

The problem with this video is that it ignores that almost none of the Worst Generation is in their prime yet.

Roger, WB, Kaido, Shanks, etc weren't as strong in their 20s as they are now, so it's unfair to assume the WG won't get stronger. Shanks was already in his 30s before he became a Yonko, and he's the youngest.
