Great Disco song from the eighties which is played with a pick on a Precision Bass and added a little Stereo Chorus. The original Bass Player is Paris Ford

The B. B. & Q. Band was a studio concept created in 1979 by the businessman Jacques Fred Petrus. After the success with Change in 1980, and also with Macho and the Peter Jacques band in the late 1970s, Petrus and his close co-worker Italian Mauro Malavasi decided to launch a new project, named after the three boroughs in New York City that the band members came from. Fred Petrus pulled several musicians together of which New York session bassist Paris Ford (credited as Peewee Ford) and his musicians became the band.

Great cover. Original bass is from Davide Romani. Together with Mauro Malavasi responsible for the BBQ and Change tunes in the early '80's . I wonder what are the chord shapes of the guitar riff. Nowhere to be found online or on YT ....

John - great job with the guitar and bass parts, nice and funky. Didn't know BB&Q band was from the same guy that produced Change, a little bit of music history there. Maybe a track from Change is on your list?

davide romani had so many great basslines on the first few change, bb&q band AND high fashion albums. check out high fashion if yiu havent yet, and also the album street level by zinc, or flowachart - saw him make eyes atchoo. all with davide romani. underrated genius. and worth to cover 🎉
