What is WIGGLE WOOD?

Fooling around in the shop today. Most of you have never seen this tool before.

This is how we make linings inside acoustic guitars etc to create surface area for gluing the top and back to the sides, we describe the piece of hardwood with slots that enable us to bend it as 'kerfed' (we usually kerf on one side only, the inside of the intended bend). Best :)

I'm relatively new to wood working dabbling in conventional wood products. So where would one use this piece of wood?

I am curious how you handle poison oak etc when felling a tree that it's growing on? Use chemicals, pull it off or just leave it on and do you chip it up or what. Couldn't find any info from google

That is one of those tools that you wonder why it took so long to come around. I am not sure they even still sell them?

I did this whole video with an app on my phone. Edited, added a canned song (so so song), and uploaded it from my shop. Not my standard way of doing things but I'm amazed at how far technology has advanced. When I was a kid, I dreamed about Dick Tracy and his 2 way radio wrist camera phone. Thought I would never see something like that in my lifetime. We are so far beyond that clunky device!! What is next? What will my children and grandchildren see as adults?

I'm not at all familiar with that tool you're using. It sounds like you're using a plane of some sort... What the heck is it? I'd always assumed that wood cut like that had been done on a saw...
