How to Sew a Lining in a Jacket

Curious to know (when you were sewing the lining to the jacket) if you were still able to sew the 5/8" seam allowance on the sides of the jacket that had the zipper teeth, or did you have to adjust the location of your stitch to avoid hitting those zipper teeth?

FFR - zipper teeth go between the lining and outside fabric, turned in. So the should be pointing to center back, not outwards. Other than that this was awesome and my jacket looks good! <3

So you wouldn't cut an opening for the pockets in the lining right? You just leave the pockets be, and sew the lining over top of them?

could you use the zip area to turn the jacket and lining to the right side. wouldn't this be a better way to seam it and have all the stitching uniform? just wondering if it would work or is there something that would hinder the turning and final out come?

What if I made the lining of thick fabric, like fleeze for example? Would I have to make the lining pattern a bit smaller?
