What’s missing with obtaining skillsets in “most” of these career fields is the prerequisites of:
1. Knowledge of calculus
2. Knowledge of statistics
3. Knowledge of probability theory

Best wishes everyone!

One thing, a lot of CRNA programs are straight from BSN to DNP (or DNAP, in anesthesia practice). I don't know of any programs that require one to obtain NP licensure beforehand. Love your channel!

I have some insight based on my experience with job hunting with my BA. I tried sales, customer service (retail because I had to take a step back since I had a traumatic life experience), and entry-level office work. I graduated in 2017 and have been off and on MANY jobs as a Comm. major. Right after I graduated from college, I also had to take care of my dad since he almost died from alcoholism and had to move due to financial concerns, which was a HUGE and LONG 1-2 year process due to complications with the buy and sell agreement. Luckily that eventually got sorted out, and my dad found someone to take care of him, and I could focus on my professional career goals vs. more personal problems.

I also learned how to work in a manufacturing/warehouse environment while trying to find work temporarily since office work was hard to find before covid and during 2020.

As of right now, I am a contract worker for Quest Diagnostics as a Specimen Technician and looking to get hired soon or continue my contract as I get trained more.

The point is to never falter on your goals, with the exception being; that if you need to take time to take care of family, then so be it. I know lab work wasn't in the video, but I do enjoy it and feel I can grow where I am at whether I want to go back to school and pursue a college degree or certificate in a science or medical field paid through Quest. Make sure also to have a plan before and while you go to school and to gain as much experience in your chosen field because nobody knows what will happen after the fact.

I'm not in healthcare but I have a career like this. I'm a Technical Writer and I make 90k with just a bachelor's in English lol

Cloud is interesting. I looked into a cloud career but most positions require several years of IT experience. Similar to cybersecurity, it’s more of a mid-high level career, not many entry level positions :(

I just got a Masters degree in Healthcare Informatics and was told I couldn't work as an Informaticist due to my lack of clinical experience. 1. NONE of the former nurses are anywhere near as technical as I am. They cannot keep up. 2. I literally spent 3 years working on a major EHR system writing documentation, teaching the users how to use it and fixing their mistakes!! So 3. Now I work in healthcare IT and make more than them SO Informatics leaders should stop being so narrow-minded about who they hire. Everyone on the outside knows your clinical informaticists struggle technically!!!

I’m still surprised videos like this never talk about perfusionists.

You keep on conflating CRNAs with NPs but they’re are very different graduate degrees, and one is far more rigorous than the other.
