I Made a Reversible Vest for Halloween! // Easy Plus Size Sewing using Butterick 6902

It's almost time for Halloween! If you find yourself with nothing to wear to hand out candy, this is a super easy and versatile vest (or waistcoat, for those of you across the pond), using a plus size Butterick pattern, 6902, which I have linked below. This particular vest is for my mom, who lives over 800 miles away from me, so keep your fingers crossed that it fits!

What a great idea! Love the reversible vest! Tip for using a seam ripper to cut open buttonholes: put a pin crossways on the opposite side of the buttonhole from the side you are starting the cut from. That way if you slip, the pin will stop the seam ripper from cutting through the other side.

Cute vest!
For safe buttonhole cutting with a seam ripper you can use a pin on the end of the buttonhole. This way the seam ripper will not go any further than you intended👍🏽
