"Mute" was enough to sell me on this album. This song has only sold me even more on it. This is exactly the type of music I've been looking for in metal.

The whole song is beautiful, but 3:22-4:16 ...it's magic. It really is magic. Perfect

Truly one of the greatest prog metal songs ever made, still in my head and playlists 9 years later.

dudes hand has an x on it. too young to even drink but they made literally one of, if not THE best prog metal albums of all time while studying at Berkeley MA. it's been over 6 years and this is still my favorite album of all time.

The whole water section, the oasis-like vibes are so breathtaking. It's my favorite section of the album. I just love it, especially that sort of water jug 'woop' sound. Damn. Can't praise it enough.

Jesus, this album exceeds my hype for even bloodborne, and I don't say that lightly.

The chorus and main riff is very Haken-ish. They even reprise the chorus in a minor key just like in 'Atlas Stone'. Their major scale sounding moments are very reminescent of A.C.T, and the solo/instrumental section could fit in a BTBAM or DT song just right.
Quite good, but in my opinion... not as unique as some people are stating.

I guess I have to listen to the album in its entirety first, though.

EDIT: I've listened to the whole thing like 20x times already. Pretty fuckin' amazing stuff. Prog AOTY material right here. BTBAM, Leprous and these guys are taking the cake this year for me.

Nice to see an 8 string guitar band using bass. Extended range guitars can hit notes as low as a bass, still can't replicate the chunkiness of a bass's tone.

These guys are reshaping the game. I present to you a a new era of Progressive Metal

damn. i respect whatever career decisions these guys made, but it's a shame they stopped making music together. they would have changed prog metal forever.

I think these guys can make it far! As a musician myself, I can appreciate the difference and the uniqueness to their sound and style!

Lets all imagine they come back for a 2nd LP with a live drummer and fretless guitars and bass. We need this.
