Resolving power of telescope
In telescope we find the degree of closeness of two distant objects which could be resolved hence we find angular seperation and not the linear seperation.
Limit of resolution for a telescope is the minimum angle subtended by two distant objects so that images (as produced by the objective of the telescope) are just seen as seperate from each other.
Resolving power is reciprocal of the limit of resolution.
